Historical Creamed Spinach


  • 14oz package of frozen spinach or 1 pound fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup milk or light cream
  • 2 tablespoons Kelchner's Horseradish
  • salt and pepper to taste


1. Chop and drain spinach.

2. Combine butter, milk, and Kelchner's Horseradish in a skillet. Cook over medium heat until butter has melted, roughly 5 minutes.

3. Add spinach to the skillet.

4. Stir and let simmer until desired consistency is reached.
